geoff emerged on the local scene, after a long period of inactivity, in early 2008. with dobro slung across his back, he threw common sense to the wind and attempted a rendition of syd barrett's "dark globe," a feat that (between the instrument and the odd song choice) caught the attention of many and earned him a bit of respect. bodhi was there that night...after that she'd always keep her eyes/ears out for "that cat with the dobro...hey, dobrocat!" first there was the pajama party, replete with live music; dobrocat played an impromptu set with ilker and members of tin cat--fellas he only met that night. next came several sets with local singer brooke fleming, who later took part in an orchestra6 project.

dobrocat with loomis

dobrocat, usually at the last minute (sans rehearsal), would take the stage with anyone: bodhi, ilker, claudine le moal, eldon, rafe, tin cat, roger woods, lynn bartholomew, and so many other cats
